Gore & Associates developed the following procedures based on our best practices for terminating GORE® Aerospace Ethernet Cables with the MIL-DTL-38999 General Purpose Connector System, including both plug and receptacle versions. By following these steps, you can maximize the performance of your assembly in avionics networks, cabin management systems, digital video systems, Ethernet backbones and other aviation networking applications, although final results may vary depending on your application. Gore cannot guarantee signal integrity, however, due to the wide variety of configurations and application-specific conditions that are possible with this connector system. Please test your design under actual operating conditions to ensure their effectiveness, and contact Gore for additional information.
